Compliance & Cookie Banner Management

Practical consent management implementation, cookie banner rebuilds, and tracking diagnostics for business websites.

A cookie banner is a visible part of consent management. Behind it, the website, tag manager, marketing scripts, and preference settings need to work together. The implementation deserves attention beyond whether the banner appears on the screen.

FixClicks brings 20 years of hands-on tracking and analytics work to these investigations. We have worked with OneTrust and CookieHub, including extensive rebuilds, and supported consent implementation for international companies working with GDPR requirements.

Our focus is the technical work: understanding the existing setup, identifying gaps, implementing agreed corrections, and testing the result. Your organization’s privacy and legal teams define the applicable requirements; FixClicks helps translate those decisions into website behavior that can be examined and maintained.

A standard Google Tag Manager template is not the end of that process. We review what the implementation actually does, including scripts installed outside the tag manager, consent initialization, and interactions with other website features. Configuration needs to reflect the site and its approved requirements.

  • Reviewing existing OneTrust and CookieHub implementations and planning corrective work or rebuilds
  • Inventorying cookies, tracking scripts, and relevant third-party components across agreed web properties
  • Mapping scripts and services to the consent categories approved by your privacy team
  • Investigating timing problems between consent initialization, banner loading, and tag execution
  • Reviewing Google Consent Mode configuration alongside the consent platform and website implementation
  • Testing initial visits, acceptance, rejection, category choices, and subsequent preference changes
  • Checking legacy scripts and directly embedded code that may bypass tag manager controls
  • Reviewing regional and language configurations against the organization’s approved requirements
  • Investigating effects on embedded forms, media, analytics, and advertising integrations
  • Documenting changes, test findings, unresolved issues, and responsibilities for ongoing maintenance

Look Beyond the Default Configuration

FixClicks favors hands-on configuration and testing over assuming an out-of-the-box setup fits every website. An existing template may provide part of the implementation, but its presence does not establish how every script behaves. We investigate the deployed result and make targeted changes where needed.

Google Consent Mode adjusts the behavior of supported Google tags according to consent signals. It does not supply the banner itself or establish how every third-party script behaves. Those connections need to be reviewed as part of the complete implementation.

Keep the Implementation Working as the Site Changes

New forms, advertising platforms, embedded media, and CMS updates can introduce new scripts or change when existing code runs. We help your team identify where a further consent review or test is needed so changes do not go unnoticed after the initial deployment.

Consent changes can also affect reported traffic and conversions. We help explain those measurement changes without treating the restoration of pre-banner tracking totals as the objective. The technical priority is to implement the approved behavior and give stakeholders a clear account of what is being measured.

The banner says one thing. What does the website do?

Visitors can choose their cookie preferences, but your team has not checked whether scripts follow those choices. A new advertising pixel, embedded form, or website update may have changed the behavior since the banner was installed. FixClicks can test the implementation, investigate discrepancies, and help your team bring the technical setup into line with its approved requirements.
